FSWP and Canadian Experience Class Draws

Canadian Dream via Express Entry
According to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Canadian Experience Class (Express Entry) will start again this spring.

Minister of Immigration Sean Fraser, emphasize the importance of international students to Canada’s economic growth. He stated that the Government of Canada will open new pathways (Express Entry) to Permanent Residency for current students.

Based on the internal news, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada will continue to draw FSWP and CEC in spring.

Fraser mentioned that the current Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) holders contributing to Canada’s economy will have their permanent residency soon.

Federal Skilled Work Permit

Because of the significant amount in the Express Entry pool before the pandemic, FSWP candidates were encouraged to apply for permanent residence more than any other Express Entry-managed program.

Since Canada has since closed its borders to international travel, even citizens entitled to come here with a permanent residence permit could not able to enter the country.

However, this situation causes the current applications to slow down or fall behind.

As a solution to this, IRCC stated that people currently in the country and waiting for their application will get their results soon. After this intensive accumulation is over, they will turn to other programs.

According to the latest data from the IRCC: They processed over 4000 applications between Feb and March. This number is seven times higher than last year. The remaining number of applications is around 10,000. In the first quarter of 2022, the IRCC will provide convenience to immigrants whose work permits will expire soon.
