OWP - Open Work Permit

An open work permit is a non-job-specific work permit which provides international workers the pathway for moving to Canada. An open work permit differs from a particular work permit, which does not specify a specific job or employer. Typically, – as in the LMIA-, the employer and the job are listed in the work permit. An Open Work Permit entitles its holder to work in almost any capacity for any Canadian employer.
Open Work Permits do not require the applicant to have a job offer or an eligible Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
